Hulk Hogan Dies at 71 from Cardiac Arrest



Clearwater, FL – July 24, 2025: Wrestling and pop culture icon Terry Gene Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, has passed away at the age of 71. Authorities and WWE confirmed the legend died from cardiac arrest at his home early Thursday morning. Paramedics were dispatched after a 9‑1‑1 call reporting cardiac arrest, and he was rushed to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, where he was pronounced dead.


Hogan was a central figure in the rise of professional wrestling in the 1980s. A six-time WWF/WWE Champion, two-time Royal Rumble winner, and twice-inducted Hall of Famer, he headlined numerous WrestleManias and became a worldwide sensation.



Born August 11, 1953, Hogan left an indelible mark on sports entertainment with his charisma, iconic “Real American” persona, and memorable catchphrases like “Whatcha gonna do, brother?” Beyond the ring, he starred in films (Rocky III, Mr. Nanny), hosted reality TV (Hogan Knows Best), and dabbled in music and business ventures
